TABLE DECORATING CONTEST INFORMATION

For more table decoration info contact:
Jeannine Flusche 940-759-5033

If you would like to decorate a table please contact us by Wednesday, January 21st.

Your table will be 8’ by 6’ in size.  Each table is numbered and you may select your table of preference on a first come first come basis.  We will assign tables to those who do not request a specific table. Honestly all of the table locations are good. :)

If your center piece or any table decorations are going to be higher than 24” above the tabletop, please choose a table on the back row of the hall. This will prevent sight line problems with guests being able to see our speaker.

You may use any theme (e.g. color, topic, business promotion, etc.).  Please provide your own tablecloths.  It is permissible and encouraged that you provide goodie bags for those seated at your table.

All guests will be given a ballot upon arrival.  The top 3 tables receiving the most votes will be awarded a prize.

The VFW Hall will be open on Wednesday the 28th from 1-8:00pm and on Thursday the 29th from 10:00am to 4:00pm for decorating.  Your table MUST be completed no later than 4pm on Thursday, January 29.

Thank you for contributing to the fun and excitement of the Annual Chamber Banquet!

Annual Chamber Banquet

Rafael Cruz is a powerful example of the American Dream. Born in Cuba, Rafael lived and suffered under a cruel, oppressive dictator. He began fighting Batista’s regime as a teenager and was imprisoned and tortured simply because he wanted to be free.

Rafael arrived in Texas in 1957 on a student visa. He got a job as a dishwasher, making 50 cents an hour, and worked his way through the University of Texas, while learning English. He later built a small business in further pursuit of the American Dream.

In early 1980, Rafael Cruz joined the State Board of the Religious Roundtable, a Judeo-Christian organization that mobilized millions of people of faith during the Presidential Campaign of Ronald Reagan.

He is an ordained minister and the Director of Grace for America, sharing the Word of God in churches and Pastors Conferences throughout the United States.

His son, Ted Cruz, is a constitutional conservative U.S. Senator from Texas.

When Ted was a child growing up in Houston, Rafael would tell him, “When we faced oppression in Cuba, I had a place to flee to. If we lose our freedom here, where do we go?”

That’s why Rev. Cruz is passionate about returning America to the biblical and historical foundations that made this country exceptional.
