New Germanfest Facility!
A group of seven individuals, led by Alvin Fuhrman, form the Board of Directors of Germanfest Incorporated. The group has made the commitment to giving Germanfest it’s very own home in Muenster, complete with permanent structures that would allow the festival to grow and provide additional benefits to the local economy. While a substantial amount of work has already been done, the plan requires the support of donors in order to complete the entire 60 acre site. We still need bridges, parking lots, and ground improvements. You can see the new pavilion on North Ash Street just across from the current Germanfest grounds. According to the Board,
Sponsored by the Muenster Chamber of Commerce, Germanfest attracts thousands to Muenster to a three-day event to partake in offerings of juicy sausages, mouth-watering strudels, cakes, pies and homemade breads, hearty cheeses and a variety of beers including German beers. So, join us for Germanfest and let us be your host for a day or a weekend of fun, food, and frolic. Be sure to bring a “guten Appetit” and spirit of adventure. Entertainment includes mimes, magicians, clowns, and storytellers for the young and young-at-heart, two stages with non-stop music for listening or dancing, arts and crafts, carnival rides, rock climbing wall, carriage rides, helicopter rides and much more. Germanfest is held every year on the last weekend of April.
